Electric Actuators

EIM is known for its innovative electric valve actuators built for harsh industrial applications. Intelligent, electric actuation technologies and controls intuitively designed for quick disassembly and easy maintenance, long term reliability, and proven safe valve operation in emergency shutdowns. EIM leads in mechanical spring-return fail-safe technologies across a vast torque range.

EIM HQ-Series Quarter-turn Electric Valve Actuator
Compact, easy to use electric quarter-turn actuator that is durable and suitable for butterfly, ball, and plug valves, including damper control. EIM actuator gear housings are factory filled with a high quality lubricant carefully selected to ensure proper performance under specified operating conditions. 4-20mA input signal and output transmitter for position control and feedback, ideal for modulating applications. Rechargeable battery backup (RBB) to permit local and remote fail safe operation, up to five times within one hour. Modbus RTU control card for 2-wire digital network communication. Remote push button stations for applications with limited access to local controls.

EIM TEC2 Electric Valve Actuator
This electric valve actuator is the next generation of the non-intrusive TEC2000 actuator. Robust and compact design that are widely used on valves for marine, oil and gas, chemical, power, and water & wastewater applications. Superior corrosion protection polyester powder-coating, inside and out, for all environments, 316 stainless steel cover screws, marine-grade, low copper content, aluminum provides compartment and covers with extra corrosion protection. Large LCD message screen uses icons and text to display status of valve and provide diagnostic data, easy to guide operator through multi-language capable, calibration, setup, and diagnostics.

EIM M2CP Electric Valve Actuator
The M2CP was the 2000 Series. It fits a broad range of quarter-turn and multi-turn applications. Field service can be performed quickly and easily. Robust mechanical design of the M2CP with ductile iron gear case, bronze worm gear, and heat-treated alloy steel worm makes the M2CP an actuator built for military and commercial marine applications. The M2CP also offer DCMlink, a comprehensive, configuration, control and monitoring software that improves end user operational productivity and asset insights to reduce asset downtime.

EIM RTS CL Compact Linear Electric Valve Actuator
A non-intrusive, compact linear actuator with absolute position detection with configurable speed options. RTS fail-safe electric actuators with mechanical spring based fail positioning are designed and field-proven for reliable shutdown when there is loss of power. Available in weatherproof and explosion proof construction. Integrated SMARTCON controls with Bluetooth capability. Control Unit: Integrated actuator control unit with frequency inverter technology and brushless DC motor.

DCMlink Electric Actuator Asset Manager
DCMlink collects data from electric actuators, providing wireless connectivity to enterprise or plant level systems, interpreting data and providing actionable insights to operators. It is the command and control software for all Emerson electric actuators. It improves productivity by unifying all electric actuators on a common platform while allowing plant operators to gain deep insights into asset status and performance in real time, DCMlink enables users to diagnose, configure, calibrate, and monitor all electric actuators from a central location independent of communication protocol, actuator or host system. The software extends the useful life of field assets by providing actuator data like condition monitoring, events log and actuator alarms in a unified and consistent user interface.

Figure 777/778 Electric Actuators
The compact Keystone Figure 777/778 electric actuator is designed for quarter turn (90°) valve operation and provides a torque range from 35 to 4500 Nm. It comes with an aluminium housing with ESPC coating. The design features an optimized mounting interface for direct mounting to Keystone valves. Epicyclical gearing enables smooth control and low noise level. Top mounted position indicator provides 360 degree visibility.

Bettis TorqPlus Electric Actuator
The Bettis TorqPlus Electric Valve Actuator employs a unique modular design to allow for simple retrofits using over 200 different accessory kits. Bettis electric actuators are available in five quarter-turn models with guaranteed output torques from 100 in-lbs-in to 20,000 in-lbs-in (11 Nm to 2,260Nm). The compact modular design in weatherproof and explosion-proof housings readily accommodates controls and accessories such as heaters, motor brakes, positioners, transmitters and control stations. Bettis G-Series Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Valve Actuator
The Bettis scotch yoke design is a highly unique and reliable actuator for operating ball, butterfly or plug valves along with louvers, dampers and other 90 degree rotating mechanisms. It is also suitable for use in demanding SIL-required applications. Modular design improves efficiency reduces wear extends life. Patented Tension-Lok™ device positively locks the spring module to allow its safe removal and installation, eliminating accidental release of the spring force. Offers multiple configurations, with a modular design that enables safe field maintenance and reduced inventory costs.

Bettis CBA300 Scotch Yoke Pneumatic Valve Actuator
A pneumatic actuator that combines the strengths of the G-Series actuator and is compact, lightweight, efficient and very cost-effective. Economical jackscrew manual override available to ensure reliable valve control in the event of the power loss.

Bettis RPE-Series Rack and Pinion Pneumatic Valve Actuator

Figure 89 Pneumatic Quarter-turn Actuator
The Keystone Figure 89 Pneumatic Actuator is a compact rack and pinion design. Ideal for modulating or on/off control applications in either double acting (air to air) or single acting (spring return) configurations. Direct mounting to all Keystone butterfly valves and ball valves. Pre-compressed spring design and anti-blowout drive pinion means safe maintenance and operation. Double pistons nullify side loads on the pinion shaft, minimizing bearing wear. Anodized aluminium body with electrostatic powder coating (ESPC) finish provides durable protection against corrosive environments. The female output drive enables direct mounting in certain applications, thereby eliminating special connections and guaranteeing correct alignment.

Keystone Figure 738 Pneumatic Actuators for Linear Valves
The F738 is a linear pneumatic actuator, designed especially for use on linear actuated valves. Engineered to provide the maximum force output with minimum supply pressure. Operates with or without lubrication. Spring return actuators are available in selected sizes. Hydraulic cylinder option is also available using high pressure oil. Spring return actuators are available in selected sizes. The Keystone F493 failsafe units are an ideal choice for larger actuators as it eliminates bulky spring return actuators when limited space is available.

The FieldQ is a turnkey pneumatic rack and pinion valve operating system with optional modular integrated controls and mounting brackets. The innovative FieldQ pneumatic actuator is an easy to use, intelligent solution that has simplified the automation of rotary valves. Integrated accessories remove the need to specify and procure these items separately, reducing purchasing time. These same integrated accessories reduce installation costs while the push button calibration reduces commissioning time. Device diagnostics enable a move to predictive maintenance – a proven lower cost means of performing maintenance – and the modular design simplifies maintenance and upgrades.

Fisher™ 657 and 667 Diaphragm Actuators
Fisher 657 and 667 are spring-opposed diaphragm actuators designed for either on/off or throttling operation of control valves. The 657 actuator is direct-acting, while the 667 is reverse-acting. The integral mounting pad eliminates the traditional mounting bracket and reduces the number of parts required to mount. Incorporates an integral air passage that eliminates the need for external tubing and fittings when paired with a Fisher FIELDVUE™ instrument.

Fisher™ 1052 Rotary Actuators
Fisher 1052 spring-return diaphragm actuators operate both splined and double D shaft rotary valves and are suitable for either on/off or throttling service. Designed for easy installation of a broad range of options: limit switches, position indicating switches, positioners, and manual over-rides. Single joint linkage with splined and clamped lever minimizes lost motion and improves control accuracy. Actuator/valve linkage is completely enclosed, yet the valve packing adjustment remains accessible without removing any parts.

Fisher™ 2052 Spring-and-Diaphragm Rotary Actuator
The Fisher 2052 highly versatile and compact actuator design can assist in throttling or on/off applications. Install on any valve, even in space-limiting conditions.The compact design reduces valve/actuator envelope dimensions leading to greater mounting versatility for both skids and process plants. Allows linkage-less feedback, via a contact-less magnetic array. The clamping of the lever onto a splined valve shaft, coupled with the single pivot linkage, reduces lost motion between the actuator and the valve. The actuator/valve assembly action can be converted from push-down-to-open to push-down-to-close, or vice-versa, without additional parts.

Hytork Excel (XL) Rack and Pinion Pneumatic Valve Actuator
A unique combination of high quality, modular actuator design, unique features, customer benefits and economical cost has been achieved by our substantial engineering and technology in actuation products. Hytork's SAFEKEY system (patented) uses a flexible stainless steel key in an internal machined keyway. It is stronger than conventional bolting and impossible to remove when pressurized. The rugged heavy duty body is made from a high strength LM25 aluminum casting designed to prevent damage from dents, shock or fatigue. The Hytork XL is modular in design and is field convertible from double-acting to spring-return configurations and vice versa.

Hydraulic Actuators

Shafer™ valve actuators serve a variety of markets: oil and natural gas pipelines (including offshore, subsea and natural gas distribution), processing facilities and mining slurry operations.

Shafer SH-Series
The SH-Series actuator is a helical spline gas-over-oil actuator. This double-acting hydraulic actuator is perfect for a variety of small sized valves (2” to 8”) for gas pipeline services.

Shafer RV-Series Rotary Vane Hydraulic Valve Actuator
The RV-Series actuator is specifically designed for pipeline applications and is typically powered by natural gas using gas-over-oil technology.

Shafer L-Series Gas Over Oil Valve Actuator
The L-Series is well suited for gate valve applications on crude oil or products pipelines. The Actuator are typically powered hydraulically or by nitrogen pressure vessels.

Shafer Electro-Hydraulic Power Unit
Designed to take advantage of the available gas pressure in the pipeline. Suited for applications actuator power source is from natural gas pipeline, alternate actuator power source to gas over oil applications where 120 VAC, single phase electrical power is available, and for new or existing equipment. Existing Actuator with gas over oil type power supply may be converted, in the field, with an electro-hydraulic power unit.

Shafer Emissions Controlled Actuator Technology (ECAT)
This product applies progressive technology to prevent emissions but also uses Emerson’s proven Shafer technology and controls to stroke valves under the most demanding conditions.
